Abstract In this Chapter we discuss the role of ontologies for simulations, in context materials modelling general and molecular particle-based methods particular. After a brief overview literature possible applications, present VIMMP that allow to describe software capabilities further specify various algorithms via involved variables: VImmp Ontology Software (VISO) Vimmp Variables (VOV).
